Rachael Kirk
Head of Private Client Department
Rachael joined Thorneycrofts in February 2010, having previously spent 2 years at a Poynton based solicitors. Prior to that Rachael obtained a 2.1 BA Hons in Business Studies from Sheffield and then went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice course in Manchester.
Rachael heads up the new Private Client Department in Macclesfield.
Away from work, Rachael enjoys traveling, fine wines and good restaurants and is a season ticket holder at Manchester United.
Rachel L Stow
Managing Director
Rachel has been with Thorneycrofts since 1994, having previously trained with a Lincoln based firm of Solicitors.
In addition to her role as a solicitor, Rachel is also our Compliance Officer, as well as being responsible for the management of the firm, including all areas of HR.
When not at work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her two children, as well as training at the gym.
Robert Thorneycroft
Director
Founder of the firm in 1990, and now Senior Partner, Robert specialises in property and personal injury related matters.
Robert qualified at Chester Law College and was admitted as a solicitor in 1982. Robert's five children ensure that he has a busy life away from work, particularly through his involvement in local junior sport, which involves roles at Macclesfield Rugby Club and Prestbury Cricket Club.
He is currently chairman of the Kings School Macclesfield Former Pupils.
Sharon Farrow
Solicitor
Based in Thorneycrofts Holmes Chapel offices, Sharon has been with the firm for two years. Having studied at Westminster University, Sharon has gained vast legal experience, including several years with a Staffordshire-based firm.
In addition to being a Manchester United supporter, Sharon enjoys travelling and skiing.
Sharon is currently on maternity leave.
Kirsten Ward
Solicitor
Kirsten has been with Thorneycrofts since June 2006, joining straight from university where she gained a 2.1 LLB (Hons) Law Degree at Manchester University. Kirsten started in the New Business Department as a claims handler and after qualifying as a solicitor in 2010 now specialises in personal injury, wills & probate and family law.
Kirsten enjoys traveling - especially city breaks, and also likes swimming and going to the gym. Another football fan, Kirsten is a season ticket holder at Manchester City.
Clare Senior
Solicitor
Clare joined Thorneycrofts in 2001 and specialises in personal injury, conveyancing, consumer problems, in particular mis-selling of PPI and consumer credit, wills & probate. Clare enjoys seeing a case come to a successful conclusion for all parties involved.
Clare is currently studying for her higher rights of audience to become an Advocate as well as a solicitor.
Away from work, Clare enjoys Salsa dancing and playing the saxophone.
Adrian J Bennett
Business Manager
Since joining Thorneycrofts in 2000, Adrian has been responsible for the firm's marketing and business development and is pivotal to the firm's outstanding position in the industry. Adrian had previous similar roles within the sector, having started his career in insurance in 1978.
Away from work, Adrian relaxes by enjoying football, boating and motorsports.
